• Russian airstrikes on ‪#‎Atareb‬ town in the western suburb, and no casualties were reported.
• 10 martyrs among civilians, mostly children and women, and destruction in civilians’ houses, as Russian warplanes bombarded #Marja neighborhood. The martyrs are :

4-year-old Rida Abdou Qarfaa, 7-year-old Obeid Hasan Qarfaa, 5-year-old Omar Hasan Qarfaa, 8-year-old Rim Hasan Qarfaa, 35-year-old Muna Radwan Qarfaa, 23-year-old Muhammad Radwan Qarfaa, 45-year-old Mahmoud Aboud Kharma, and two children of Jadoua family.

#Syria, Raqqa: the full story of Tabaqa Airbase Fall

Tabaqa Airbase is 10 kms and is one of the most important airbase in Syria. How Daesh was able to capture such as an airfield? The Source told the story to Activists of Raqqa is being slaughtered campaign, who asked his identity not to be disclosed, how Daesh was able to control the airport.

During The first night of the attack:

Daesh sent more than 700 fighters to the airbase, and the count down started as usual with all the attacks Daesh carried out. Daesh sent in a carbomb driven by a 14 young year old boy Abu Sufyan Al Omar aka ” Abu Ala Al Shami” . As soon as the carbomb reached the airbase gate, a konkurs was shelled from inside the airbase destroying it at 700 meters from the main gate. The fighters started to advance immediately after the explosion for they believed that it happened at the right place. They were ambushed (ambush has been ready for more than one year and all those who were fighting at the airbase, knew about it) by the regime forces, killing more than 100 fighters who were forced to withdraw to their intial points.

The second attack:

According to that source, after spending days studying the failure of the 1st intrusion and the recruitment for the attack, new supplies have arrived from Deir Ezzor, and the attack started from all the parts of the airbase. The warjets have carried out airstrikes on every spots that Daesh has attempted to storm, for long hours ” the warjets did not disppear from the sky and the airbase vicinities, and did not stop taking off from the airport” . During this attack, 60 fighters of Daesh were killed and other wounded. The second failure requested to call in the Daesh Minister of war , Omar Al Shishani, well known for his military planning expertise.

The arrival of Omar Al Shishani

After Omar Al Shishani’s arrival in a convoy packed with heavy weapons and missile, the regime started to empty the airport of warjets suitable for work as follows: the warjet would take off from the airport to attack Daesh fighters and then, head to Sinn Airport in Homs. As well as Ilyushins have been seen landing in the airbase three times, with  the help of the regime forces  in charge to defend the airport, to finally appears that republican guards were flown out of the airbase, and all the identities and most important papers were moved too away with the good ammunition, and some of the most important officers among them the airbase’s commander ‘ Brigadier Mahmoud Yussef”, and some of pilot officers,and one officer with the rank of Major of regiment 41 special forces that is responsible to protect the airport.

Omar Al Shishani’s strategy

Omar Al Shishani’s main condition was that Arab ansars and muhajireens should not participate to the last attack, claiming that their lack to understand other foreign languages is responsible for the failure of the airbase attack, for according to the source who added Al Shishani had suspicions that regime informants were among the arab ansars. Thus, why they not allow them to participate to the battle. During three consecutive days, grad missiles and mortar shells rain down on the airport forcing the regime forces inside the airbase to move only during the night to AL Ajrawi farms adjacent to the airbase, and barricade inside until the end of the restless shelling. During three days, mortars were raining on empty buildings. At the fourh day, the runways could not be used any more.

The final attack

The attack started 15 minutes before the azan. Daesh fighters entered the airport without any resistance and were surprised to control an empty airport. Then they moved to encircle AL Ajrawi farms where almost NINE HUNDRED (900) of the regime forces have been barricading, some were killed and made prisoners after 5 consecutive days of battle, and others were able to flee and reach an area near Athariya checkpoint held by the loyalist Shabbiha National Defense Forces

In the context of the media war waged by Daesh, a videotape was filmed and ” not aired yet aired,” of a pilot who defected long ago, after forcing him to sit in the Mig that can be put in gear but cannot fly, and tells in the video that the plane is fully operational and then comment through wireless devices after turning on the plane, saying, “I am Colonel pilot dissident and states his identity, I belong to the Islamic State army, we are ready to carry out jihadi sorties and we have full operational planes to strike”, and the recording was stopped a and the pilot was released.

Conclusion

The airbase scenario has ended with almost 300 of Daesh fighters kilked between the the first ambush to the Ajrawi farms attack and the capture of :
