Sources of the Free Army in the eastern Qalamon, confirmed to Baladi Network, the news that RU has effectively offered the FSA to stay in eastern Qalamon with all their arms in exchange to fight Daesh under the regime banner.
A video circulated showing a Russian officer offering the FSA to stay in alQalamon with all their arms, in return to fight Daesh in the Syrian Badia under the auspices of the regime and with the support of Russia, but the FSA rejected the offers and rather leaver than fight under the Assad regime banner.
(Video uploaded on YallaSouriya)
Director of the Information Office of the Martyr Ahmad alAbdu Forces , Fares Al-Munajjid, told Baladi Network: “The offer is genuine. Our sources confirmed that one of the Russian generals asked Assad for an amnesty for the FSA. The Russians provided guarantees for FSA to stay in the eastern regions of Qalamoun to fight under the banner of the regime against Daesh only, and there a limited number of weak souls who accepted the proposal and will fight under the banner of the regime.”
Said Saif, an activist from alQalamon, said that this concerns only those who signed the reconciliation agreements with the regime and Russia. They will be be asked to fight Daesh and if they refuse, they will be arrested in the future, as it did happened in the other areas that have signed reconciliation agreement with the regime.
The eastern Qalamon signed a settlement with the regime and Russia few days ago, and more than 3000 people will be deported mostly fighters towards the city of Jarablus in the north of Syria.
