French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin and their Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed on Saturday to increase cooperation to achieve a political solution in Syria.
French President Office said that Emmanuel Macron informed his Turkish couterpart on Saturday that he is looking foreward to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the coming days to find a comprehensive political solution in Syria.
President Macron also thanked Erdogan for his remarks supporting the strikes carried out by the United States, Britain and France in Syria, the Elysee Palace said in a statement after a telephone conversation between the two leaders.
For his part, the Kremlin said that Putin and Erdogan agreed on “a strong cooperation” for a peaceful settlement in Syria, and discussed by telephone the issue of strikes on the Syrian regime.
