Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that his government will not be able to extend the temporary suspension of air strikes on targets in the city of Aleppo in the event of continuing attacks by the rebels on the ground.

Peskov told reporters: “At this moment, the constant downtime and an opportunity for civilians to get out of the east and Aleppo are creating the conditions for the entry of humanitarian aid.” He added that it would be impossible in the event of terrorists continues to bomb the living and the routes of humanitarian aid in the attacks and in hiding behind human shields, noting that it will not continue to allow humanitarian downtime, as he claimed.

The rebels began last Friday a military operation in the city of Aleppo, in order to break the siege on the eastern neighborhoods liberated, they took control of the “pro-regime suburb” area and other sites.
