Summary (08/10/2012)
At least 170 people were killed by Assad’s forces today mostly in Aleppo, Idlib, Daraa and Damascus. The FSA has recently made significant gains in Idlib province which was visited by SNC President Abdulbaset Saida today. Several towns and villages along the Turkish border have been liberated in the last days and today an offensive was launched to liberate the city of Ma’arat an-Nu’man. In Homs the regime is still on the offensive. In Daraa, 30 martrys were massacred in the small town of Karak. In Damascus tonight there were a series of large explosions in the East of the city, Qaboun, Harasta and Jobar. One of the targets was the Air Force Intelligence building.
